Present perfect continuous and simple
(I have been doing and I have done)

There is paint on Kate's clothes.
케이트의 옷에 집중하자.
She has been painting her bedroom.
그녀는 그녀의 안방에 페인트칠 중이다.
Has been painting is the present perfect continuous.
페인트칠(행위)은 present perfect continuous 이다.

We are thinking of the activity.
It does not matter whether it has been finished or not.
해당 행위가 끝났는지 안 끝났는지 중요하지 않다.
In this example, the activity (paining the bedroom) has not been finished.
예로 해당 예제는 페인트칠이 끝나지 않았다.

Her bedroom was green. Now it is yellow.
그녀의 안방은 초록색이었다. 지금은 노란색이다.
She has painted her bedroom.
그녀는 그녀의 방을 페인트칠 했다.
Has painted is the present perfect simple.
페인트칠은 present perfect simple이다.

Here, the important thing is that something has been finished.
여기서 중요한건 해당 행위는 끝났다는 것이다.
Has painted is a completed action.
이미 완료된 행위이다.
We are interested in the result of the activity (the painted bedroom),
우리는 그 행위에 대한 결과에 대하여 흥미가 있다.
not the activity itself.
그 행위 자체가 아니라.

  다음에 다시보자. 우리가 지난번 만났을때부터 뭐하고 지냈어?

  누군가 모든 초콜렛을 먹어서. 이 상자는 비었어.

  내가 준 책은 어디에 있니? 그책에 뭘 한거니?
• Have you ever played tennis?
  테니스 해본적 있니?

  저 책을 얼마동안 읽고 있니?
• Lisa is writing emails. She's been writing emails all morning.
  리사는 메일을 쓰는중이다. 그녀는 매일아침마다 이메일을 써왔다.
• They've been playing tennis since 2 o'clock.
  그들은 2시부터 테니스를 하는 중이다.
• I'm learning Arabic, but I haven't been learning it very long.
  나는 아랍어를 배우는 중이지만, 오래되지 않았어.

Present perfect simple
How many/much, how many times
완료된 행위에 대하여 어느정도 인가 를 말할때 사용.

• How much of that book have you read?
  저 책을 몇번 읽었어?
• Lisa is writing emails. she's sent lots of emails this morning.
  리사는 이메일을 쓰는중이다. 이번아침에 이메일을 많이 보냈다.
• They've played tennis three times this week.
  그들은 이번주에 테니스를  3번 했다.
• I'm learning Arabic, but I haven't learnt very much yet.
  아랍어를 배우는 중이다. 그러나 아직 많이 배우지 않았다.

Some verbs (know/like/believe etc) are not normally used in the continuous.

• I've known about the problem for a long time. (not I've been knowing)
  나는 그 문제에 대하여 오랫동안 알고 있다.
• How long have you had that camera? (not have you been having)
  저 카메라를 갖고있는지 얼마나 오래 되었는가?

But note that you can use want and mean in the present present perfect continuous.

• I've been meaning to phone Jane, but I keep forgetting.
  나는 제인에게 전화하기로 계속 했지만 계속 잊어버렸다.
